When will be Shaka Wind Meter available for purchase?
We started deliveries in June 2013.

Where I can get Shaka wind meter?
It will be available worldwide through wide range of webshops and local distributors. Easiest way is to pre-order it through our webshop.

To which countries do you ship?
We ship worldwide.

Which platforms are supported?
Shaka mobile app will be available for iPhone (and also for iPod touch and iPad) at first, but we are working hard to make it available also for Android and other smartphone platforms.

Do you use only m/s to show windspeed?
No, we will support knots, metric system units, imperial units and also other less used units to show results. You can tweak settings according to your own needs.

What’s the max speed limit for the device?
We have tested it on winds reaching over 30 m/s (That’s over 60 knots or 70 mph).

Can you measure wind chill with Shaka wind meter?
Yes. Our wind meter has built-in thermometer, we can calculate and show wind chill on the fly.

Does it work with audio cord extension?
Yes, but then you can’t see accurate wind direction because for that we use the smartphones internal compass.

Does it work with iPad?
Yes.

Can you measure humidity with Shaka wind meter?
Not yet, but we are working on special version with additional sensors.
